vesseltracker.com in Munich
What are we doing in Bavaria? Munich’s river Isar may be good for rafts and pleasure boats, but that’s about all. However, from May 12 to 15 Munich and the “transport logistic” trade fair is Europe’s focal point for the logistics industry; and information services will be presented more prominently than ever. So this is why we are happy to announce that this year we will be at the attractive stand of the “Port of Hamburg Marketing Organization (HHM)”.
Saving money is on everybody’s agenda. We support you by supplying our services for 15 months if you sign an annual contract. This offer is valid between May 12 and 15 for new customers only. Please read our article “15 for 12” for details.
Enjoy spring time!

vesseltracker.com flies the flag at the “transport logistic“ fair in Munich
The „transport logistic“ is a huge event: More than 1.700 exhibitors expect some 50.000 visitors on an area of 90.000 m². vesseltracker.com is participating for the second time. We will be in hall B4 at stand 209/310 "Hafen Hamburg Marketing" (Port of Hamburg Marketing). And there is prominent company: With big wigs like Buss, HHLA, Eurogate and Rhenus we are sharing a very attractive stand. Needless to say: vesseltracker.com will be shown live and we will also present something brandnew: The vesseltracker Google Earth application can be seen on a 25“ touch screen.
See our homepage for more information about the fair. Should you happen to come to Munich you are heartily invited to our stand; it will be a busy time, so it is advisable to make a prior appointment. Give us a ring or use the link www.vesseltracker.com/en/Contact.html.

When photos travel far
Recently we spotted a shot from the vesseltracker.com Photo Community in a very popular daily newspaper. Good to know the photos are so attactive, but alas, the author was not mentioned nor did he receive a royalty. Seems there are pirates not only off the coast of Somalia, but on our own doorstep. Happy end, though: vesseltracker.com took care of the matter and the photographer received his money.
Meeting of ship photographers at the Kiel Canal (Germany)
Each year the photographers of the “forum-schiff.de” (forum for ships) come together for a meeting. This time they convene in Osterrönfeld near Rendsburg, September 5 in the "Kanal-Café". For details of the forum see www.forum-schiff.de or download the information about the meeting: http://www.forum-schiff.de/FST09.pdf
New Antenna Positions
New positions around the globe
In our last newsletter we reported that Taiwan’s Tai Chung and Kaosiung have become vesseltracker ports. We have now added Keelung, Mailiao and Teipei. Spin the globe to the right and you are in Saudi Arabia: Jeddah and Yanbu. Further west: In the Lebanon we have Beirut „on air” and Tartus in the Syrian Arab Republic. From there, weather provided, you can see Cyprus: They are currently setting up the antenna In Limassol. A quick move to the north: Esbjerg, Tyborön and Hanstholm in Denmark are also vesseltracker ports. Another spin of the globe and we are in France: Marseille and more to the southwest Sete. Last, but not least: Tema is our first port in Ghana.
In the next issue of the newsletter we will travel further and report about new antennas in South America.
Tips ‘n Tricks
Newsletter: As you like it
You can now choose the language in which you wish to receive the newsletter (currently English and German). This is how it works: Homepage > log in > click on “My vesseltracker“ > click “Data and password” > choose language for the newsletter > confirm your e-mail address in the field “Email repeat”.
You do not want to receive the newsletter any longer? Pity, but that too has been made easier. Two choices: Either do the same as above but take the checkmark off the box “Newsletter” and confirm your e-mail address. Alternatively click http://www.vesseltracker.com/en/Newsletter.html and enter your mail address. You will then receive a confirmation mail which requires a final click for conformation. You do want to continue being a reader though, don’t you?!
