SALES MANAGER

Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and manage a stable and profitable portfolio of business from within the assigned region.
Purpose
To support the vision of ATS International Services, Inc. - to be the most sought-after break bulk transportation provider in the world - by providing quality solutions to customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develops new customer base by telephone, internet, and email prospecting within all regions of China
2. Manages the sales cycle by closing deals with prospective customers including face to face meetings that involve presenting to both small and large groups.
3. Collaboratively works with colleagues to prepare customer quotes/bids with an eye toward maintaining profit margins for the company while providing value to the customer.
4. Responsible for developing sales forecasts for the office and then meeting/exceeding those goals.
5. Manages relationships with current customers to maintain current business as well as expand the business relationship.
6. Works closely with the Vice President and Managing Director ATS Asia - Singapore to develop sales and marketing strategies for China and identify industries that are a match for the ATSI value proposition.
7. Conduct competitive analysis via available tools and resources to support continuous sales and marketing development.
8. Performs other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.
9. Report weekly to the ATS Singapore and USA management via email and teleconference
Measurable Objectives
Measurable Objectives will include but are not limited to: Securing new business and maintaining an appropriate level of profit margins that will be established in conjunction with the Vice President. Education & Experience
- The bachelor degree with a major of shipping, transportation or Logistics is a must.
- Should have more than 5 years experience on the Break Bulk cargo.
- Preferably Executives specializing in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent and Job role in Freight Forwarding or Logistics Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with a focus on growing the customer base. The candidate must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable presenting to both small and large groups. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit. Must be able to successfully operate without direct supervision and thrive in a high pressure environment. Excellent written and oral business communication skills in English and Chinese
Work Environment
Involves working primarily in an office setting. Also involves travel to customer locations throughout the region which can include extended periods of time driving an automobile. Total travel time is expected to exceed 30% with frequent overnight travel required.
