My Job and Responsibilities as a Senior Marine Superintendent (Capatian)
1) Management of safe and smooth operations of ocean going vessels
2) Upkeeping of Safety Management System
3) Conduct ship inspections and compliance of ISM / ISPS, including internal and external ISM / ISPS audit ensure vessel's compliance with the ISPS code, conducts security mock drills, training and ensures security levels are maintained with in the fleet.
4) Liaison person for office/vessel/charterer and contract holder
5) Prepare operations report (Inspection report, Audit report, Investigation report etc)
6) Provide operations and sailing instructions to Ship Master
7) Conduct performance assessment for Vessels Key appointment holders and review all reports submitted by Ship Master
8) Maintaine fleet vessels GMDSS system, ensure communication cost not over normal level.
9) Upkeeping vesels COFR, NTVRP,SOPEP, PCSOPEP, BWMP, OPA90, BCC, VGP / eNOI, Oil Spill Enrollement Agreement and Coampany Marine Circulars etc.
10) Work closely with the representatives from various classification societies and governing agencies which regulate the operation of our ships
11) Handle general marine matters, includes but not limited to marine inspections, training, auditing and investigations of accidents and incidents.
