nm1.新年聚会，发生打架斗殴事件，次日早餐停，工作停滞。
31 Dec 06:V/L was having a New Year's party in Off.S/Room.Party started at 1900 Hrs.1900-2030-Nor.jokes,dance.music was going on.2030-2100:Argument and abuses started among cdt XXX ,Cdt YYY and P/man and C/Cook.At 2100 hrs in Off.Smoke room during party there was a fight amongst following crew:1. Cdt XXX, Cdt YYY 2. P/man, C/Cook.In the initial fight at 2100 hrs blows & abuses were exch.bet.boththe above groups.It was a matter that Cdt XXX and Cdt YYY were forcing to crew to have liqur in the bar. Within few minutes everything was normalised when both the groups were asked to behave like civilized people. After that, the party continued as normal.At around 2230 hrs after few drinks, when everybody was enjoying the party,there was again another fight bet. Cdts-XXX/YYY & P/man inside the C.Smoke room. It was found that when everybody was started enjoying the party,Cdt XXX and Cdt YYY caught p/man alone in the c.smoke room and beat him up using his boots after locking the c. smoke room from inside.2235 Hrs :When everybody arrived at the location outside c.smoke room, after knocking,the door was opened and it was found that p/man had a small scar on his forehead. 2235-2300 Hrs:First aid was given to the P/man 2300 Hrs:The party was called off.On 1St Jan 2007:Next day none of the crew was ready to work,breakfast was not prepared,same to reported to Supt. on tel.and v/l was instructed to resolve the matter on board and warn the cadets strictly. It may be noted that the matter was reported as one of the items during a routine reporting to the office..
CORRECTIVE ACTION SUGGESTED BY MASTER
1. Cdt XXX and Cdt YYY to be s/off in the next port of call or at the earliest to maintain harmony and discipline on board.
2. Cdts joining the vessels are to be briefed regarding their conduct on board and make them aware that any acts of indiscipline by them, on board, will dealt with very strong hand.
3. Will c/out more surprise cabin inspections and more frequent unannounced alcohol test.
4.Bond store is sealed after this incident.
MEASURES TO PREVENT RECURRENCE
Master to ensure that no alcoholic beverages are issued to the cadets/trainess from the vessel's bond locker and also that cadets/trainees are not allowed to consume alcohol during their tenure on board. Any cadets/trainees found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or with inappropriate conduct, must be dismissed and not re-employed.
