nm14.三副在驾驶台非吸烟区吸烟，引起垃圾桶着火
while the vessel was at sea, 3/Off was smoking on the bridge (A NON-SMOKING AREA) and later, he had put the cigarette bud
in the dustbin containing waste *****s. The cigarette bud was not properly extinguished. He realized his mistake when the *****s in the bin started smoldering and there was a little smoke on the bridge. Same was extinguished immediately and there was no damage whatsoever.
Smoking Regulations on board and basic safety practices while smoking, must be followed at all times.
